Live-patient surgical volume
The program is built around supervised primary-surgeon repetition, not observation. Participants work directly on real clinical cases within a university environment.
A premium university-clinic immersion for dentists who want surgical confidence through supervised repetition, clear protocols, and real patient care at Universidad Odontológica Dominicana.
This is not a hotel seminar, typodont workshop, or observational course. It is a structured live-patient week inside a university clinic, with strict mentoring ratios and defined surgical outcomes by level.
The program is built around supervised primary-surgeon repetition, not observation. Participants work directly on real clinical cases within a university environment.
Training takes place at Universidad Odontológica Dominicana, with patient flow, clinical safety protocols, imaging, sterilization, and faculty oversight integrated into the week.
Seven hotel nights, breakfast, airport transfers, daily clinic shuttles, weekday lunches, materials, PPE, scrubs, and clinical-week medical insurance are included.
Participants train with the Straumann Neodent Grand Morse implant system, reinforcing standardized drilling sequences and restorative planning discipline.
The two-dentists-per-chair structure protects surgical exposure, mentoring time, and safety while allowing every participant to progress during the week.
The clinical week is followed by online case support for diagnostic review, treatment planning questions, and early implementation in your own practice.
Both levels share the same dates, hotel, logistics, mentoring culture, and two-dentists-per-chair ratio. The right level depends on your current surgical fluency.
Built for dentists who want a safe, repeatable surgical foundation: case selection, flap design, osteotomy sequence, insertion torque, implant positioning, suturing, and post-operative protocol.
Built for clinicians already placing implants who want predictable sinus elevation, membrane management, grafting workflow, complication control, and simultaneous implant placement when indicated.
If you do not yet have a theory certificate, you may register and complete HKU’s online “Implant Dentistry” course via Coursera. Proof of enrollment can be accepted at registration, and completion is required before the clinical week begins.
The UOD clinical environment allows the course to operate with patient logistics, imaging, clinical safety, sterilization, and faculty support in the same ecosystem.
Your package includes 7 nights at Embassy Suites by Hilton Santo Domingo in Naco, daily breakfast, airport transfers, and private daily shuttles between the hotel and UOD.
The schedule is intentionally structured so participants can arrive, orient clinically, operate intensively, and complete the week with formal recognition and follow-up support.
Arrival in Santo Domingo. Airport pickup and Embassy Suites by Hilton check-in in Naco.
Guided Colonial Zone experience, orientation, suturing practice, safety briefing, and clinical workflow review.
Clinical days at UOD. Morning case review, CBCT/X-ray planning, live surgeries, two-per-chair rotation, and daily debriefs.
Gala dinner and certificate ceremony after completion of the clinical program.
Departure day. Coordinated airport transfers included.
A USD 1,000 non-refundable deposit secures your seat. The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before the program begins.
Licensed dentists who want a controlled, mentored, live-patient implantology week rather than a passive lecture-based format.
The format depends on faculty who are not merely lecturing, but actively supervising surgical planning, patient treatment, and participant progression.
Focused on practical execution, surgical repetition, case selection, and safe clinical progression for participants throughout the live-patient week.
Brings an academic background in periodontics and implantology, emphasizing evidence-based workflows, complication management, and clinical readiness.
Yes. You may register now and complete HKU’s “Implant Dentistry” online course through Coursera. Proof of enrollment can be accepted at registration, but the certificate must be completed before the clinical week begins.
Choose Level 1 if your goal is surgical fluency through repeated implant placement. Choose Level 2 if you already place implants and want focused lateral-window sinus lift experience.
Yes. The university clinic provides the patient flow and clinical setting, allowing the program to focus on supervised live-patient training.
No. The guaranteed focus of Level 2 is the lateral sinus lift. Complementary procedures may occur when a suitable case requires them, but complex GBR is not the guaranteed objective.
Yes, subject to prior consultation and hotel policies or additional costs. A non-participant companion cannot enter the university clinical area.
No. The value of the program comes from repetition, mentoring, and progressive confidence during the full five clinical days.
We can help confirm your eligibility, select the right level, explain what is included, and guide you through the October 2026 registration process.
