The IDIT Standard

Designed for measurable clinical confidence.

This is not a hotel seminar, typodont workshop, or observational course. It is a structured live-patient week inside a university clinic, with strict mentoring ratios and defined surgical outcomes by level.

01

Live-patient surgical volume

The program is built around supervised primary-surgeon repetition, not observation. Participants work directly on real clinical cases within a university environment.

02

University clinic framework

Training takes place at Universidad Odontológica Dominicana, with patient flow, clinical safety protocols, imaging, sterilization, and faculty oversight integrated into the week.

03

Premium logistics resolved

Seven hotel nights, breakfast, airport transfers, daily clinic shuttles, weekday lunches, materials, PPE, scrubs, and clinical-week medical insurance are included.

04

Straumann Neodent workflow

Participants train with the Straumann Neodent Grand Morse implant system, reinforcing standardized drilling sequences and restorative planning discipline.

05

Small cohort discipline

The two-dentists-per-chair structure protects surgical exposure, mentoring time, and safety while allowing every participant to progress during the week.

06

Three-month mentorship

The clinical week is followed by online case support for diagnostic review, treatment planning questions, and early implementation in your own practice.

Choose Your Clinical Track

Two levels. One controlled university environment.

Both levels share the same dates, hotel, logistics, mentoring culture, and two-dentists-per-chair ratio. The right level depends on your current surgical fluency.

Level 1 implant placement training
Level 1 · Foundations

30 implants guaranteed as primary surgeon.

Built for dentists who want a safe, repeatable surgical foundation: case selection, flap design, osteotomy sequence, insertion torque, implant positioning, suturing, and post-operative protocol.

  • Ideal for beginners or early implant clinicians.
  • Two-per-chair workflow: surgeon/assistant rotation.
  • May include immediate implants or basic grafting when clinically indicated.
Level 2 lateral sinus lift training
Level 2 · Advanced Sinus Lift

7 lateral sinus lifts guaranteed as primary surgeon.

Built for clinicians already placing implants who want predictable sinus elevation, membrane management, grafting workflow, complication control, and simultaneous implant placement when indicated.

  • For experienced implant clinicians or Level 1 graduates.
  • Focused on lateral-window sinus elevation.
  • Complex vertical/horizontal GBR is not the guaranteed focus.
Theory prerequisite

A basic theoretical foundation in implantology is required.

If you do not yet have a theory certificate, you may register and complete HKU’s online “Implant Dentistry” course via Coursera. Proof of enrollment can be accepted at registration, and completion is required before the clinical week begins.

FAQ

Clarity before application.

I do not have a theory certificate in implantology yet. Can I still apply?

Yes. You may register now and complete HKU’s “Implant Dentistry” online course through Coursera. Proof of enrollment can be accepted at registration, but the certificate must be completed before the clinical week begins.

Should I choose Level 1 or Level 2?

Choose Level 1 if your goal is surgical fluency through repeated implant placement. Choose Level 2 if you already place implants and want focused lateral-window sinus lift experience.

Are the patients provided by the program?

Yes. The university clinic provides the patient flow and clinical setting, allowing the program to focus on supervised live-patient training.

Does Level 2 include advanced vertical or horizontal bone regeneration?

No. The guaranteed focus of Level 2 is the lateral sinus lift. Complementary procedures may occur when a suitable case requires them, but complex GBR is not the guaranteed objective.

Can I bring a companion?

Yes, subject to prior consultation and hotel policies or additional costs. A non-participant companion cannot enter the university clinical area.

Is there a shorter version of the program?

No. The value of the program comes from repetition, mentoring, and progressive confidence during the full five clinical days.
